About Jason Dufner

Jason Dufner is a professional golfer from the United States of America who currently plays on the US PGA Tour, where he has earned two titles till date. Born in Cleveland region of Ohio, Dufner and his family moved to Washington when he was 11 years old and then again to Fort Lauderdale in Florida when he was 14. It was in Fort Lauderdale where he first took up golf during his stint in school as a sophomore as well as in his junior and senior years.

At the famous Auburn University, Dufner was a walk on and went on to win three titles in his collegiate career and was also an honorable mention as an All American back in 1997. He went on to graduate from the University in 2010 with an honors degree in Economics. Having turned professional in 2001, Jason Dufner went on to join the Nationwide Tour, which is considered by many as the developmental territory of the US PGA Tour. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006, going on to win two titles – the BUY.COM Nationwide Tour in 2001 as well as the LaSalle Bank Open in his last season of the Nationwide Tour in 2006.

During his early career in the US PGA Tour, he struggled to hold his place down on the Tour. He played on the US PGA Tour in 2004 but he had to return to the Nationwide Tour again for the 2005 season before returning to the US PGA Tour in 2007.

Jason Dufner has won two titles on the US PGA Tour, both of which have come in 2012. He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and the HP Byron Nelson Championship and finished runner up to Keegan Bradley in the 2011 PGA Championship.
